Ukraine - day 10: today, friday

I'm skipping some back stuff for a short update. Apparently listening to Carolina in My Mind on repeat yesterday was too much, cause I had weird dreams. One of these was my dad dropping me off at a busy sushi bar in NC. I didn't have enough time to get sushi and go back to the Ukraine, so I went to the grocery store. The grocery store was all weird, so I went back to the sushi bar after ~30min. My dad was there picking up Tuna Tataki (it looked like beef carpaccio i ate on day 2) and I said "dammit, I could've gotten sushi by now." Then I started wondering how the heck I was going to get back to the Ukraine in time for work, or how was I back in NC so quick..I woke up after that didn't make sense. That was 3am. I worked a little, then went back to sleep around 5am. bah. Carolina in My Mind, miles to go...

"The Ukraine is Strong!" or "things i"ve observed about the Ukraine"

01. Traffic laws? haha, what're those.
02. No drinking age means fun for the whole family! Especially in the street on holiday.
03. No age of consent. Number 2 really helps this one go far. the tourism bureau's silence holds the floodgates shut.
04. Stray kitties strike photographic gold everywhere. I need to keep my camera batteries charged.
05. I must refrain from adopting afore mentioned kitties if I am to survive! Many lesser wills fall to the insidious cuteness.
06. Not having fitted sheets might be giving me nightmares. At least I hope that is the cause.
07. It's bright at 5am here. Feels almost like Tokyo.
08. If you are at the office at 5AM, the roosters crow. True story. They also like your bread at 5AM.
09. If you stay at the office 2 nights in a row and the alarm isn't turned on, a security force comes from the city with guns.
10. I am not allowed to see if #9 is true.
11. The Wii isn't known in the Ukraine yet. I may have just changed that...
12. Eating Ukrainian cat food makes one's stomach hurt, just like in the US.
13. While in the Ukraine, I am smart enough not to add cat food to my list of "things eaten," And yes, cat food is not make of cats either.
14. Posting about cat food in the Ukraine is great even if it's just a theory.
15. #2 and #3 arent enforced to the point they don't exist in some peoples minds, but they're on the books {no, the police DIDN"T have to tell me that}
16. When the police van with lights atop stalls in front of you, the right thing to do is honk. really.
17. Like NY, if they look like they're peeing, they are, even if it's the middle of the road. high five!
18. Salad means mayonnaise and maybe something else. period.
